The Big Suprise

Fucking Awesome

You know all those contests that happen in the world? “Retweet this phrase to win a blank-something-or-other” or “Like us on Facebook and win a bajillion dollars and a piano!” Do you ever wonder who wins those things?

Are you biting your nails? Cause I totally was!

Well, I’m here to tell you, I win those things.

I WON A FREE TRIP TO CALIFORNIA!

Do you remember a couple of months ago, Asic’s was holding one of many sweepstakes. This particular one was for a free pair of Gel Nimbus 13 LE’s. All you had to do was Like Asic’s on Facebook, or retweet their little message. Well, I retweeted it, and forgot about it.

So, I get back from my Awesome Vacation to Hawaii (where I won a free pair of tickets to see ‘Ulalena), and feeling a little ho-hum-oh-drum, suddenly I find myself the winner of two more tickets to the Broadway’s Next Hit Musical. That was the Thursday before my birthday.

The Thursday after my birthday, I received this tweet.

Wait, you mean its real?

I screamed! I jumped for joy. I wanted to shout it to the heavens. I teased twitter about it for a month!

And then the waiting started.

Hint! It was a Hint!

I won’t get into too many details, lest I seem ungrateful, because this is truly a momentous opportunity and I’m so freaking excited I can’t barely stand it, but It sure seemed like I waited a lot. First to get everything approved, then to get everything set up. Just today I finally received the plane and hotel confirmations, so it is a done deal.

I believe this was shortly after the plane tickets were confirmed.

What happens now?

Today is the day. It actually is this time!

My super athletic friend Rachel will be joining the week after Thanksgiving for 4 days to visit Asic’s Headquarters in Irvine, California.

There has been mention of designing the shoes, of course the main purpose of the trip. Its not just winning a free pair of shoes, but “designing” them as well. Also, meeting with some VIP employees, going for a run on the beach… you know, no big deal. Ha!  I’m not sure on the final details yet, but I am very excited about whats to come! And of course, the whole thing will be covered here on my blog, so stay tuned.
